Basic life support with safe use of CPR
Course description
The goal of this certificate is to allow learners to expand their basic life support knowledge and abilities to match the demands of their job or other context, as well as to facilitate advancement into more advanced first aid training. It is suggested for first-aiders who have access to a defibrillator in the workplace.
Learners will understand the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillation (AED) in the survival chain. Skills for Health considers the subjects addressed to be critical in maintaining excellent practice in the safe, rapid, and successful delivery of CPR and AED. The students should be able to use an AED machine safely and successfully.
Basic Life Support, or BLS, is the sort of care that first responders, healthcare practitioners, and public safety personnel give to people who are experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or an obstructed airway. It necessitates knowledge and abilities in CPR, the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and the relief of airway blockages in patients of all ages.
