Course Objectives
This course aims to equip the delegates with the required knowledge and skills on how to conduct gas testing when working in confined spaces and performing hot work activities with anticipated flammable atmosphere. The delegates will also learn about the implications of statutory requirements related to gas testing, use of monitoring equipment, and documenting and interpreting of the results.

Course Overview
This course aims to:
Provide a broad-based introduction to ergonomic principles and their application in the design of work, equipment and the workplace. Consideration is given to musculo-skeletal disorders, manual handling, ergonomic aspects of the environment as well as to the social and legal aspects.

On completing this course successfully, the student will be able to:
- apply ergonomic principles to the creation of safer, healthier and more efficient and effective activities in the workplace;

Course Format
Normally run as a 5-day taught course [minimum 45 hours including practical/demonstration sessions, lectures, tutorials, guided reading, overnight questions and examination].
A multi-choice question (MCQ) examination will be held on day-5 which is an open book examination based on the student manual. On successful completion of each module, students receive an OHTA Certificate for that module.
