Welfare

Welfare management system

The welfare management system is a system built by humanity to ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, including the elderly, the disabled, and working parents, may have a secure and worry-free existence. This course focuses on elderly, children, and persons with disabilities, with the overarching aims of “every citizen’s quality of life being given by the community” and “a community’s welfare being promoted via its inhabitants’ own efforts.” The course examines welfare from a multidisciplinary viewpoint and provides students with systematic and practical teaching, preparing them to work as welfare professionals.

Welfare audit

Wellbeing Auditing Training is based on our proven technique for assessing animal welfare across a whole collection of animals. This technique includes a collection-wide checklist that evaluates all areas of operational management that affect animal welfare against a thorough, evidence-based standard.
More than 10 nations have used this training, with more than five national and regional zoo associations as well as several independent zoos reaping the advantages. This workshop is intended to encourage participants to participate in improving animal welfare procedures and to stimulate further progress toward best practice standards across all operational operations.
